MEET MARIA'S CASE
Both heating and air conditioning, hot water, and the kitchen run on electricity as she has no connection to natural gas or other energy sources, which is why she pays an average bill of about €75 per month.
Good consumption habits, peace of mind, and more annual savings.
In the offer provided by Elecsum, Maria sees that she will save €250 per year on her electricity bill and decides to opt for the Exclusive Right option, for which she will pay a fixed fee of €120 in 12 monthly installments. This way, she knows her net benefit over the year will be €130.
Maria is committed to her choice and knows she will be able to maintain her consumption habits and still achieve these savings, while helping the planet by using local renewable energy.
Moreover, she knows she can improve her savings by adjusting the timing of her electricity use. During the summer, the air conditioner is the appliance that consumes the most electricity, and Maria is already planning to use it more during sunlight hours.
For example, in the month of June, with many hours of sunlight, she’ll start needing the air conditioner and will be able to make great use of the assigned panels. This way, we estimate she’ll save €30 on her electricity bill. Since the fixed monthly fee is €12, she’ll enjoy a net benefit of €18 that month!
In December, however, there are fewer hours of sunlight, so her electricity bill savings will be just €17. Elecsum’s monthly fee will still be €12, so that month she will have a net benefit of €5.
Over the course of the year, her total benefit will be around €130, but it could be much higher if Maria manages to use her appliances more during solar hours. Her washing machine is quite old, so it's a good time to replace it — the new one will be programmable, allowing her to run it during sunny hours, improving her consumption profile to better match the self-consumption she now enjoys!
For all these reasons, she has no doubt that this fixed-fee payment option not only gives her greater peace of mind when it comes to payments, but also more savings over the course of the year. She hopes to improve the timing of her electricity consumption to save even more — without the fee changing.

MEET PERE'S CASE
Pere lives with his family in a rented apartment and usually pays an electricity bill of about €70 per month. Since they leave for work and school in the morning and don't return until the evening, most of their electricity consumption is in the evening and partly on weekends. Additionally, their apartment has natural gas used for heating in winter and for the kitchen stove.
With the personalized study, we’ve determined that 2 photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 1 kW can be assigned to your home. In the offer we provide, we indicate that you will save €250 per year on your electricity bill.
Pere has some doubts about what his energy consumption might look like next year, as his eldest son is moving away to study and his wife will soon have more flexibility to work from home. Since he wants to try self-consumption without taking any risks, he chooses the “Always Save” plan.
With this plan, we guarantee that Pere will always save by the end of the year, since the Elecsum service fee will be 70% of his total savings. In other words, he will always retain 30% of the savings as a benefit.
For example, in April he will save €25 on his electricity bill thanks to the free energy obtained from the assigned solar panels. The Elecsum invoice for that month will be €17.5. After subtracting that amount, Pere will have a benefit of €7.5 for the month.
By continuing this way each month, Pere will enjoy a total annual benefit of €75.
If, due to remote work, more electricity is used during solar hours, they will be able to save even more. And if they decide to visit their son, who will be living abroad for a month during the summer, they can rest assured that even while they're away from home, they will still save some money and gain a benefit.
Pere and his family are considering installing year-round aerothermal climate control. With this plan, they also have the reassurance that we will always adapt to their changing needs, and they can save even more if their energy consumption increases. Furthermore, next year they can renew their plan, and we’ll be able to carry out a new study to assess the possibility of assigning them additional solar panels.
Moreover, if they decide to move to a new residence, since they are currently renting, they can rest assured that the conditions can be adjusted with each contract renewal — and they may even enjoy the same benefits at their new home, provided it meets the necessary requirements.
